Q: What kind of game is The Game of Order ?

A: The Game of Order is a real-life game of which the information, accessible through the internet, is free for all to use without any obligations of subscription or payment.

Q: What is the purpose of the Game?

A: To have a good Time.

Q: How does one play The Game of Order?

A: It is a game starting at level 1 (as you'd expect). There are eight levels, three modes and 16 identities to choose from.

Q: What does level, mode and identity pertain to?

A: Level pertains to the degree of transcendence: the higher the level the less material the motives. Modes pertain to the commitment of the soul: they overrule distinctions of status and vocation. Identity pertains to the person you are relative to your civil status and vocation.

Q: Can one win the game, and what is won then?

A: One can drop out of the game thus losing it. To be a winner means that you participate playing the game. People with experience enjoy all the advantages of peace and prosperity, while beginners may be jealous.

Q: Is it difficult to learn?

A: Following the rules it is easy, but as you do not that as easily it is as difficult as you are yourself.

Q: How do I begin playing?

A: Go to mode one, level one, pick an identity and follow the instructions for that mission. You can also pick a level, choose an identity-operator for a mode and find your mission that way. You can also go for an identity and check out for a mission according your favorite level and mode.

Q: Can I skip levels, modes and identities?

A: Each mode, level and identity has its own logic. The first level is not necessarily the easiest, but if you skip, you will lack the experience for the next levels and thus you might lose the game all together. Modes are more free to choose but also follow one another logically offering an escape to the next level. It depends on your talent whether a certain mode fits you. Identities are like worlds or states of consciousness you live in: you can change them as easy as changing friends or places or occupations.

Q: What does 'real life game' exactly mean?

A: Real life means it is a mode of consciousness to manage your normal life with: it determines your outlook, identity and motivation. Game means you can achieve a certain conscious control over your destiny or acceptance of your fate.

Q: Is it dangerous to the present life one is leading?

A: Yes and no. Yes it can change your choice of study and of friends, how you make your money and your destiny. No it is not more dangerous than the life you are living now. There is even a chance that you'll learn tricks and cheats that improve your life considerably.

Q: Is it addictive and can that destroy my life?

A: You can get addicted to the good time it gives you and it can destroy the life that is less attractive. It is up to you to decide whether that would be bad or not. Losing a miserable life is o.k. but losing the chance for a good life for which you had to sacrifice, but did not, is of course a pity. If you can tell what exactly a good life is before you have lived it, you are smarter than the master of the game. The Game of Order shows you the relative of a so called good or bad life. It gives you the chance to consciously try and experiment. You can imagine there are happy pigs living in the mud and miserable gods living in heaven.

Q: Is it difficult to stop with the game?

A: It can be difficult to lose a game!

Q: Can I maintain my present life with it or does it have to change?

A: Both is possible. It is your choice and responsibility to choose the proper mode, level and identity that suits your present life. Thus it can enhance your capabilities, outlook, relations, jobperformance and your social status. If at the other hand you want to live another life picking another identity, level or mode, it can become impossible to continue with your present life. So you can lose your partner, job and social status with it. But the Order of Time does not take any responsibility for your leading a life that does not befit you.

Q: What are the rules of The Game of Order?

A: These rules are extensively explained at the Order of Time in the book "The Other Rules". It is a free html-download (585K). So better check out what exactly you need of that book at the site and do not ask for more rules than you need. At first hand the basic four mentioned at the homepage must do. They are derived from the four commandments not to lie, fornicate, steal and kill. A natural talent might have an intuition strong enough to manage without further explanation.

Q: Does it make victims or can I become a victim myself?

A: Losing the game (Death Mode) means you lose a life that could have been good. It is not the purpose of the game to compete with it, but instead find friends a job (-expansion) or a hidden talent with it. But it is not impossible that other players push you out of it or that you yourself do bad things despite of your interest in the game which has a strict moral code for a lead. As with all good things it can be abused. But new as the game is, the chance will be small that the game itself will be spoilt within the coming 1000 years. Then the Sweet Lord may descend from heaven to chastise us out of His Glory of being winners and masters of the game.

Q: What is the history of The Game of Order?

A: This is explained at the the Order of Time. In short: It is derived from the essence of the old vedic culture. But it is stripped from unnecessary ritual, terminology, occultism and personalism and fully adapted to the modern understanding and capacity of the internet use of computers and other media. The set up of the Order of Time is born in January 1998 . The game has thus an experience of that length of a time and this site is the condensation of that experience.

Q: Why The Game of Order?

A: You can of course figure it out for yourself what is meant by "The Other Rules". and the other contents of the Order of Time. But in this form you might quickly find your own way with it without extensive study or disappointment about it being dry knowledge or an absence of real life.

Q: How many people play this game?

A: The good Lord knows: it depends the way you look at it. Unconsciously you might have been playing it all of your life while the game simply opens your eyes for it being there. At the other hand it might be just an apollonian illusion: only you know and believe in it and nobody will ever confirm, recognize or be willing to understand what you are doing, confessing to and saying. It is not the purpose of The Game of Order to proselytize it, preach from it or otherwise convince others. Still you might freak out that way and discover what the consequences are. It belongs to the Filognostic Association (that is the public association of postmodern people progressive and selfrealizing to the spirit of the New Time). Association means that some may understand and know about it while others by no means will ever be convinced by you telling them whatever about it. Your personal experience with it is after all what is determining.

Q: Who is is the master of The Game?

A: There are many people who are in fact masters from which you can learn. They can confirm anything at their own level, identity and mode. But outside of it they might be just as ignorant as they think you are while you just before might have discovered a remarkable command yourself with a certain choice of the game. This game was not really made, but discovered by the friendship of the Order of Time of which you can read here the fruit of association. In sum the answer is: you can be the master yourself, but you are certainly not the only one.

Q: Can I contribute to improve the quality of The game of Order or even influence the set -up?

A: Certainly you can contribute from your own experience. Because of this the game is what it is now. Many contributed and some of it can be witnessed at the Order of Time. To influence the setup is possible to a limited extend. In fact you can add to it if you have found something essential you were missing. But if you have difficulties understanding some of its contents you may discover that it is possible to discuss it, but not change it. Even bugs or things to be corrected can have the function to challenge the discussion and work for higher levels of understanding projected over it without repressing the original error. The whole idea of life as a game might be a childish error. But if this is the way to understand how to have a good time, so be it.

Q: Does the game provide support?

A: You can post your questions and see them answered here. personal guidance is not guaranteed, but there is ample chance for getting the right info and association at the Order of Time.

Q: Is this a psychological or spiritual game??

A: If you are out of the game you may suffer psychological trouble. It is spiritual in the sense of action, as far as spirituality undertakes any action. On itself it is not a therapy or a new-age course in selfrealization with therapists, leaders, group-meetings and such. One could call it a spiritual/psychological selfhelp strategy game.

Q: How were the levels conceived?

A: There is an eightfold division of ashthânga-yoga describing yama: the don'ts / niyama: the do's / âsana: the practice of postures/ pranâyâma: breathcontrol / pratyâhâra: turning inward / dhâranâ: concentration / dhyâna: meditation and samâdhi: absorption. This has been popularized in more western terms into the levels of lust (don'ts ), the levels of exercise (do 's ), the levels of execution (exercises), the levels of socializing (breathcontrol), helping (turning inward), speaking (concentration), understanding (meditation), and control (absorption). Surfing to "the Other Rules" you will find chapters giving rules for each level that are named there resp. making love, the body, sport, marriage, relationships, dating, business and daily life. You understand that translating the eightfold system of yoga to our understanding and life-experience does give some mutations to the original turning inward story of yoga making it more the love for the knowledge of life of filognosy.

Q: How were the identities constructed?

A: As you can see they are derived from the civil status combined with the vocation. The original formulation is found in the Bhagavad Gîtâ: it is the system of the Lord called the varnâs'rama system made up of spiritual departments of celibacy, married life, withdrawn life and detachment called resp. brahmacârya, grihastha, vânaprastha and sannyâs. This has been translated for the game into the status of civil conduct as being a student, an attached person, a withdrawn person and a detached person. The vocation pertains to the original division in classes of society: labor or s'ûdras (called friendship), traders or vaishya's (called provision), leaders or kshatriya's (called initiative), and intellect/priesthood or brahmins (called guidance) which on itself has been subdued to the levels of commitment called modes in this game. This subduing is essential for the game to dispel the falsehood of the unreformed caste-hindu.

 Q: What are these modes?

A: The modes are essential for the game as they take the falsehood of class-distinctions (identities of 'false ego') out of the game. They are derived from the modes of material nature and pertain to the different types of divinity in the Veda's distinguished by the Gods S'iva, Brahmâ and Vishnu. The modes of nature are: slowness, passion and goodness, associated with destruction, creativity and maintenance. The purpose of the Game of Order is to attain to the mode of goodness ('have a good time') on whatever level or identity one operates. This attaining determines the degree of commitment of being a beginner (self-mode) an acknowledged participant (ego-mode) or an experienced person (wisdom-mode) in progress to higher levels.
